Utah Report Guidelines

County Reports of Utah

This year we will be studying Utah Counties.  Each student will present a county report. Students may use any source they choose--books, brochures, letters to the county seat or the Internet.  A great website to consider is www.uen.org.

Each student will need to give an oral report in class (on Thursday’s).  The students should tell about the county--they should not read the report.  Students have two options for presenting their reports:  PowerPoint with a minimum of 10 slides or a poster display.  Each student will need to design a flag to represent their county.  Students must be prepared to discuss why they chose their design.

Requirements for County Report

County highlights such as description of land,             history, products, tourist attractions and famous people

Students can then do something fun after they present - like give a STORE BOUGHT TREAT (no homemade treats) that represents their county. OR they can play a Trivia game if they would like - where they ask the class 4-5 questions after their presentation to see if they were listening. Just make it fun and interactive!
